Luge: Zoeggeler third after the first two heats. Medals awarded tomorrow
First two heats for the podium places. Armin Zoeggeler finished the opening day in 3rd place in the Luge Singles.The Italian flag-carrier recorded an overall time of 1’44.893”, behind the German Loch, first in 1’44.149”, and the Russian Demechenko (1’44.443”). The other azzurro, Dominik Fischnaller, finished in 1’45.269”, recovering two places in the second heat. Emanuel Rieder was 17th (1’45.856”). Tomorrow at the Sanki Sliding Centre the last two heats will decide who gets the medals – and who goes down in history.
